COVID-19 update for Encounter Church⠀

Sunday March 22nd

Hi Church! We have been monitoring the Coronavirus crisis as it has been developing these last weeks like many of you, and asking the Lord for wisdom each day for our church and as individuals as well. We are people of faith in a God who can do miracles, and we are also a church who cares about everyone, including those most vulnerable to the spread of this virus.⠀

We are choosing to respond with wisdom and faith. In light of all of that, we have made a decision to NOT hold a public service at church this weekend and are instead moving our service ONLINE.⠀

This is not a decision we made lightly or based on fear, but out of wisdom and care for people. And our faith in Jesus means we are believing that even in hard times, God can draw even more people to Himself and use our unique circumstances for His glory!⠀

We want to encourage you to gather your family together for the service online, invite a few neighbors over, and turn this online weekend service into one where your faith and relationships with Jesus will go even deeper than before.⠀

We will be hosting our church service from Pastor Jamie and Heidi’s front room at 10am on Sunday. As you know, the church isn’t a building, but it’s a family & a group of people who worship together and care for each other. This is a great way for us to stay connected, speak hope and life into each other, and allow this season to deepen our relationships with people.⠀

During this time, we feel the Holy Spirt reminding us that prayer is to be our first response, not our last resort. As our world moves forward with fear and anxiety, we choose to have faith over our fears. Join us as we lean into the Lord more than ever, and reflect the love, hope and peace of Jesus everywhere you go!⠀

We love you all and we will see you online this Sunday!
