Jamie Adams
Jamie Adams leads Encounter Church with a genuine love for Jesus, for people, and for family. That love is something you will see, it is woven throughout his life. His wife, children and grandchildren love Jesus and they love coming to Church. Jamie is not an office guy. He loves the outdoors, listening to podcasts and enjoying music. But even better for him would be a good live band. Sunday evenings are his favorite time of the week, when the whole family gathers— kids, grandkids, his mother-in-law, and often a few extra friends. It’s lively, loud, and full of joy. There’s music, games, dancing, a jump house inflated in the yard, kids and dogs running everywhere—it’s a bit of mayhem, but the wonderful kind. And in the middle of it all, Jamie is usually the one cooking. Beyond the church, Jamie serves the broader community as a chaplain, specializing in family care and mediation. He partners closely with local funeral homes, walking with families through grief, loss, and burial services—offering compassion, and care during some of life’s hardest moments. The leadership at Encounter Church is seasoned and relational, they are committed to joining alongside those who want to grow deeper in the things of Jesus. The strength of this church is its people. There is a genuine excitement here—a shared desire to follow Jesus and grow together in Him.
“Our kids love Jesus & the Church! So you will see many of them as volunteers and leading at Encounter” ~Jamie Adams
